Atemi Waza Seminar - Saturday September 30th 9am-12pm
at: Great Lakes Aikido, Gendokan Dojo
150 Fairway Drive, Suite 156 Vernon Hills, IL 60061
Come join us at Great Lakes Aikido to learn more about striking training! The goal of this seminar is to focus on how to incorporate striking into some of the body movements and techniques typically covered in Aikido. Basics such as how to properly align your hand and body to deliver a strike, the power line, the drop step, and how to take proper ukemi when receiving atemi will be covered. This seminar won’t be comprehensive, but it will provide participants with a foundation to explore atemi-waza in the context of further study.
Instructor: Matt Lowry Sensei, 4th Dan
Cost: $40
This seminar is open to all martial artists, regardless of style, rank, or experience. Wear light, loose fitting clothing (such as a t-shirt and sweatpants) or a gi if you have one.
We will also be going to a nearby restaurant after the seminar for food and fellowship. You are welcome to join us!
